My stay at the Hotel Atlantic, a Kempinski hotel in Hamburg, and the Swiss Hotel in Istanbul was a mixed experience. The rooms had a pungent odor coming from the garbage disposal and were not clean upon arrival, but they were spacious and well-equipped with a full-size refrigerator, stove, and all necessary dishes and utensils. The service was average, with staff going out of their way to make our wedding weekend special but falling short in other interactions. The location of the hotels was convenient, close to major highways but not offering the best views. The dining options were good, especially the made-to-order omelets. The hotels offered various facilities such as dry cleaning, laundry, and a welcome drink, enhancing the overall experience.
Staying at this hotel felt like having a cozy apartment with a full kitchen and separate bedroom, perfect for couples or families. The mini theater-like setup in the room with a spacious sofa and huge TV added to the comfort. However, some service aspects were lacking in competence.
Staying at this hotel was just perfect for a family trip. The rooms were nice, reasonably quiet, and comfortable with a separate living area and kitchen. The service was very accommodating and friendly, although a slight issue with smoke odor after check-out. The location was great, close to major highways yet quiet for a good night's sleep. The dining was satisfactory, with a nice surprise in variety. A nice price-value balance overall.
